Ryde Wharf Market opens

The new Ryde Wharf Market was opened by Mayor Jerome Laxale on Sunday.

The new outdoor market is located at Ryde Wharf Reserve next to Anderson Park in Meadowbank and will be held on the second Sunday of every month.
It is a produce based market with 70 stalls and features fruit and vegetables from Vegie King, Australian flowers from Mayfarm Flowers, fromage from the Grate Cheese Co, Australian-caught fish from Fish Face, Little Marionette coffee brewed by Popelino, herbs and spices from Spice Zen, and Brooklyn Boy Bagels.
Mayor Laxale said the new Ryde Wharf Market is part of the City of Ryde’s commitment to activate public spaces and provide residents with access to outdoor markets.
“The first Ryde Wharf Market was a huge success,” he said.
“Thank you to all the local residents who helped Council get these markets off the ground and for turning up on Sunday.
“I hope to see everyone for the second instalment of the Ryde Wharf Market on Sunday, December 13.”
